The April 2012 cover of Tar Heel Monthly features John Henson in the one-time only Nike platinum uniforms worn on senior night against Maryland in Chapel Hill.

Inside you’ll find a unique take on why uniforms are such a big stir including an artist's rendition of what former Tar Heel pitcher Colin Bates would do if he got a chance at designing the Diamond Heels uniforms. Turner Walston brings the quirky personality of third baseman Colin Moran, and his family tree of athleticism, to the fold and Helen Buchanan tells of lacrosse defenseman Logan Corey's split decision of attending medical school or continuing with his final year of eligibility -- or perhaps both.

And as always, our columnists bring their passion and experience with the Tar Heels to the magazine each month. This issue features perspective on how Carolina and Duke can come together to do incredible things from long-time, legendary broadcaster Woody Durham and Mac Brown's endorsement of new football coach Larry Fedora from Lee Pace. Also, get inside what’s happening now with Voice of the Tar Heels Jones Angell and more from former UNC athletes Jawad Williams and Mike Ingersoll.
