Parking selection tips: May 4

Wilkes Graham sends us the latest figures on Rams Club seat equity program parking selections, with some lots likely to be filled early this morning. Plus, a complete look at the spaces still available. As always, if you have specific questions about lots or your selection date, leave them in the comments.

After 2 days, 1.98 parking spots have been selected per time slot, compared to 2.02 spots/slot last year, or a 2% decrease. It’s clearly too early to tell if this is a meaningful trend, but we’ll keep our eye on it.  572 spots were taken on Wednesday, followed by 380 yesterday. I estimate 340 spots will be taken today.

After Venable filled up in the early morning, the Ramshead and Public Safety lots accounted for 55% of the demand yesterday. The Public Safety lot should fill up very quickly this morning, and minimum lifetime donations to secure those last spots will likely be in the $200k range. Morrison and Bynum will likely go fairly quickly as well, with similar minimum giving levels. Ramshead should dominate selections again, though 18% of demand went to Ehringhaus and Bell yesterday and continued demand into these two lots today may push the last available spots for Ramshead out into Monday. Interestingly, the Ramshead deck filled up simultaneously to Ehringhaus and a full day before Bell last year. Below, we highlight yesterday’s action, sorted by scarcity of availability.
