It's finally here. Football starts tomorrow when Carolina takes on Elon in the first game of the Larry Fedora era in Chapel Hill. But that's not all that's on the calendar.

Today is College Colors Day, so be sure to wear your Carolina Blue.

Tar Heel Athletics

•Cross Country is in Boone for the Covered Bridge Open.

•Women's Soccer is in South Bend for the Notre Dame adidas Invitational. They'll play Connecticut Friday at 5 and the host Irish Sunday at 1:30.

•Men's Soccer hosts West Virginia Friday at 7, and Boston University on Sunday at 7. I went to the opener against Gardner-Webb last weekend. Want a name to watch? Transfer forward Andy Craven put up three shots on goal and had a goal and an assist against the Runnin' Bulldogs.

•Volleyball is in Davis, Calif. for games Friday and Saturday against Santa Clara, Utah and UC Davis.

•Field Hockey is at Cornell at noon Saturday.

•Football hosts Elon in the season opener at 12:30 pm Saturday. Here's GoHeels.com's GameDay Central. Check out the Tar Heel Town schedule and don't miss the Old Well Walk at 10 am. In case you missed it, here's the run-down of all the new stuff in Kenan Stadium this year.

Yesterday, I tried playing the game on my XBOX and EA Sports' NCAA 13. Check out the results here.

Also yesterday, I wrote on GoHeels.com about the Tar Heels excitement for showing you, the fans, what they've been working on.

ESPN.com's Heather Dinich has a list of things to watch in Week 1 of ACC play.

Last week, she wrote about up-tempo offenses and featured the Tar Heels.

So, how is Braden Hanson doing at North Dakota?

President Barack Obama participated in an 'Ask Me Anything' at Reddit this week.

That's it for today. Enjoy the weekend. Football is here!
