Weekend Watch: June 15-17

Happy Friday! More entertainment news than Tar Heel news, I'm afraid. Oh well, bring on summer!

Tar Heels in the Pros

Don't miss our latest compilation of NBA Mock Drafts to check on former Tar Heels.

The blog U.S.S. Mariner asks, 'Why does Dustin Ackley strike out so much?'

Entertainment

People are saying that Tom Cruise does an admirable job in Rock of Ages. I'll take their word for it.

Also in theaters this weekend? That's My Boy, which is not what Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg's parents will be saying.

Did you see the trailer for Quentin Tarantino's latest, Django Unchained?

So, House Hunters is fake. Disappointing.

Tonight and tomorrow morning, Abbey Road Live is performing Sgt. Pepper's in its entirety at Cat's Cradle. Saturday night, The Connells and Drivin' N Cryin' take the stage. Good weekend at the Cradle.

Has anyone out there visited the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte? Seems like a good time. Saturday, they're hosting the Brew Stash Bash, with live music and beer samplings.
