Exams are winding down today, so a nice relaxing weekend is in store. Just three Tar Heel teams are in action, as baseball and men’s lacrosse host games in Chapel Hill and softball ships up to Boston.

•Baseball
The Diamond Heels are back in weekend action with a series against Boston College. Idle last weekend, Carolina is now two games ahead of Virginia atop the Coastal Division. Interestingly, for the top three teams in the division, Carolina, Virginia and Miami, each team swept one opponent and was swept by the other. Colin Moran brings his bat and defense back to the Tar Heel lineup, returning from a broken hand. The games are Friday at 6, Saturday at 2 and Sunday at noon. Friday and Sunday’s games can be seen on ESPN3.

•Men’s Lacrosse
Saturday is Senior Night at Fetzer Field as the Tar Heels host Michigan at 7 p.m. in the last contest before the NCAA Tournament. If you can’t make it to Chapel Hill, catch the action on ESPN3.

•Softball
Carolina (38-11, 11-3) finishes the regular season at Boston College (22-26, 2-16). The Tar Heels have won 14 of their last 15 and are ranked as high as No. 20 in the nation. Carolina will host the ACC Tournament at Anderson Stadium next weekend.

•NBA Playoffs
His Mavericks are down 3-0 in the series with Oklahoma City, but Vince Carter showed off the old Vinsanity last night. Game 4 is Saturday at 7:30 on TNT.

Danny Green and the San Antonio Spurs lead the Utah Jazz 2-0. Game 3 is Saturday at 10 on TNT.

Ty Lawson and the Denver Nuggets come home trailing 2-0 in their series with the Los Angeles Lakers. Game 3 is tonight on ESPN at 10:30.

Game 4 between Tyler Hansbrough’s Indiana Pacers and the Orlando Magic is Saturday at 2 on ESPN in Orlando. The Pacers lead 2-1.

Marvin Williams and Jerry Stackhouse and the Atlanta Hawks are knotted at a game apiece with the Boston Celtics. Game 3 is tonight on ESPN at 7:30.

•Major League Baseball
Seattle begins a series with Minnesota this weekend. Struggling recently, Dustin Ackley thinks he’ll get back on track.
Daniel Bard’s next start for the Red Sox should come Tuesday at Kansas City.

•Entertainment
Well, there’s The Avengers, of course. It’s getting rave reviews.
Beach House at Cat’s Cradle Saturday is sold out.
Looking ahead, The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20, but the latest trailer was released this week.
Did you see the ghost from Ringu ('The Ring') throw out the first pitch at a baseball game in Japan?
