Weekend Watch: November 2-4

Well, after a tremendously thrilling win over N.C. State last weekend, football has Saturday off. They return to action next Saturday with Georgia Tech. Don't miss UNC New Media's All Access video from the game.

Men's Tennis plays in the "Big Jim" Russell Invitational in Chapel Hill all weekend. Carolina field hockey continues play in the ACC Tournament Friday, with the championship set for Sunday at Henry Stadium. Rowing is in Chattanooga for the Head of the Chattahoochee.  Volleyball hosts Miami Friday at 7 and Florida State Saturday at 5. Cross country is in Raleigh for the Three Stripe Invitational on Saturday. Also Saturday, women's fencing is at the Penn State Intercollegiate Invitational, with the men to follow Sunday. Wrestling is at the Hokie Open in Roanoke, Va. on Sunday as well.

After falling in the first round of the ACC Tournament, women's soccer awaits an NCAA bid. This week, the New York Times wrote about the strength of women's soccer in the conference.

Having concluded the regular season, men's soccer will host an ACC Tournament game on Tuesday. Time and opponent TBA.

CBSSports.com has the men's basketball Tar Heels ranked tenth nationally. Adam wrote of Roy Williams' trip to surprise Kendall Marshall and Harrison Barnes in Phoenix Wednesday evening.

Diversions

Did Jalen Rose ever tell you about the time he stole Patrick Ewing's TV/VCR?

The NHL has had tremendous growth (particularly here in Carolina) after the 2004-05 lockout. The current lockout is threatening to undo all that.

Have you heard about the guy who's in tremendous trouble for spreading false Hurricane Sandy information on Twitter. That is frowned upon.
